About eYiddish.org

eYiddish.org was created by a group of Yiddish enthusiasts and experts in communication, in order to promote Yiddish language and culture.

The initiative started in 2007, after it appeared a lot of people willing to study Yiddish, simply could not have access to classes because of their geographical location or time schedule. eYiddish.org introduced a revolution in Yiddish learning by bringing the teacher to the home of the student regardless where he lives by mean of live distant learning technologies.

Today, eYiddish.org runs several classes of different level to students mostly from Europe, USA and Canada.

Although being at the edge of the technology, eYiddish.org has adapted its learning methodology towards simplicity and ease of use, so that anybody can have access to it.

eYiddish.org provides a wide variety of classes, for all kind of student with focus on the high learning level. All teachers are experienced with teaching Yiddish at academic level and have been specially trained for distant learning education.

eYiddish.org has also innovated by providing "teacher on demand" for autodidact students that from time to time need a helping hand from a qualified teacher. Students can have teacher assistance via email or videoconference, in order to get exercise correction, answers to questions, pronunciation issues etc ... .

eYiddish.org runs also an online shop where visitors can buy books, music or merchandising, all related to Yiddish. All profits from the online shop go to a fund meant to provide learning scholarships.
